Coping with challenges in day-to-day life

People affected by mental illness and their relatives experience a range of challenges in their day-to-day lives. Outpatient psychiatric care provides support in such situations and helps those affected to cope with their condition more effectively. By visiting patients at home, outpatient psychiatric caregivers can also take into account the individual’s personal living circumstances and social environment. After an inpatient stay in a psychiatric clinic, this kind of support can be very useful as a way of helping patients settle back into their day-to-day lives.

Cost coverage of psychiatric care at home

The costs of outpatient psychiatric care are covered by mandatory health care insurance (OKP, basic insurance), provided that it has been prescribed by a doctor and the need for care was assessed by a nursing specialist with at least two years of experience in the field of psychiatry. Please contact the doctor who is treating you in this regard.
